We also believe immigrant entrepreneurs are particularly special, because they create something out of nothing. You travel, observe, and find out about a new place. You connect with the locals. It’s very different than just moving to Denmark to get a job with a known company like Novo Nordisk. You come in and create something that didn’t exist before. We are interested in creating aesthetic experiences. It is not important how we define our work. The experience between the work and the user defines that. As soon as we create the work, no matter how we tag it, it starts its own life. The user and the work creates limitless meanings and definitions through their interaction. That is incredible and very exciting.

Aslında başlangıç çok zordu, dediğiniz gibi tasarımla Danimarka birbiriyle çok eşleşmiş bir şey, köklü bir tasarım geçmişleri var. İlk başta çok fazla önyargıyla karşılaştık. Ben çok geleneksel bir şekilde ürünlerimizi çantaya doldurup mağazaları geziyordum ve bazı mağazalarda, hiçbir şekilde benimle konuşmak istemediler. Danimarkalı olmadığımı anlayınca, hemen kapıyı falan gösteriyorlardı, ama bazı mağazalarda da daha açık fikirli insanlarla karşılaştım. Yani bir süreçti ilk başta zordu, yaptığımız işi iyi yaptığımız için, ön yargıların üstesinden geldik. Amacımıza çok bağlıydık.
